John Rothschild has been a practicing attorney for over 27 years. He earned his Bachelor of General studies (BGS) degree from the Univerisity of Michigan in 1975 and his law degree from Wayne State University's Law School in Detroit in 1979.

Mr. Rothschild's primary pro bono (no fees) activities include volunteering for a free legal clinic in the city of Seattle. He is the former chairperson of the Social Action Committee for Temple Beth Am, a progressive Jewish synagogue, in Seattle.
